Charlemagne has had an amazing career as king, and has had a large positive effect on the development of the kingdom. His commitment to Christianity really helped him play the game and win the war better than anyone else. Looking back, he hadn’t a different approach to converting the Franks, and was very different than anything we have ever seen. His handling of the pagans and Muslims was unique, but it helped him get the job done. He used his ties to the church to his advantage, and it ended up helping a lot throughout his career. Finally his determination to help people learn made him and his empire stronger as one.
Nice, I wish I was in the hall of fame, but unfortunately, I am dead.
Good Job :)
I am honored to be inducted into the hall of fame for my great achievements as ruler of Western Europe. During my time as ruler, I won so many battles that the size of my empire almost doubled. As long as I won, I did not care how, often resorting to brutality. This was in the name as Christianity though; I wanted everyone to be converted in Europe so that we would be united. I want to make sure that Christianity continues to spread, which was my ultimate goal as the Holy Roman Emperor according to the Pope. Also, I am proud that I was able to provide education at my palace for the Frankish people. I want to give credit to the counts for helping me to run my kingdom.
Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, was a powerful king who reunited most of Western Europe through his conquests. He was an able administrator and brought about economic reforms to bring prosperity in his kingdom. Charlemagne is famous for his work towards the development of education like building of schools and standardization of curriculum. He ended the Dark Age in Western Europe by initiating the Carolingian Renaissance, a period of cultural enhancement. Charlemagne also took several steps to spread Christianity in his vast empire, paving the way for making it the dominant religion in Europe. Some of major accomplishments and achievements of Charlemagne are: he united most of Western Europe for the first time since the Roman Empire, he spread Christianity across Europe, Charlemagne was the first emperor of the Holy Roman Empire,Lastly he maintained order and prosperity through efficient administration and leadership.
Although one of the most powerful kings of modern day France, Charlemagne (Charles the great) was "often cruel and brutal" in his efforts to expand his empire and and convert his subjects to Christianity. However, he eventually accomplished much more than he had originally planned to. He almost doubled his kingdom, and was crowned the new Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Leo III on Christmas day. Charlemagne believed his power came from God, and his strong ties to the church gave the empire unity as Christians. Charlemagne had an organized way of ruling through his counts, or nobles, as they governed their own small armies, collected taxes, and settled disputes. Another grand accomplishment of Charlemagne was his passion for learning and acquiring new knowledge. He used money earned from conquering and looting to pay scholars to come and teach at his school.
Charlemagne, the best Frank Leader ever, will be inducted into the Ruler's Hall of Fame tonight based on his success ruling and conquering new areas to expand his kingdom. When Charles took over as king he had two goals, unite all of western Europe and convert all Germanic people to Christianity. In a short time as king Charles took over much of Europe, and established the largest European empire since the Roman empire. After countless defeats in battle, Charlemagne converted to Christianity and since then, his luck turned and became a dominant, conquering force in Europe. Charlemagne believed in the preservation of the Roman Catholic Church, which led to the pope supporting his empire. Thank you to everybody who came to celebrate the legendary leader of Europe, Charlemagne.
Charlemagne was noticeably big, standing at 6"3, he is different than most kings because you usually don't hear much on a leaders size. He trampled and dominated all that opposed him, he had his goals and he did whatever he needed to. In 800, he was crowned by Pope Leo III, making him the Holy Roman Emperor. His new role in the church, helped unify the empire. Most franks were illiterate, so Charlemagne made a learning center in Aachen. After gaining money from invading other lands he paid scholars from all around Europe to come teach.
Charlemagne was a very powerful king who ruled over the Frankish kingdom and eventually most of Western Europe. He did this by going to war with the other neighboring kingdoms, and cruelly and brutally converted them to Christianity. This eventually made Charlemagne the new Holy Roman Emperor. People were now taught to follow and obey Charlemagne. He also began an education system in his palace by using his money to pay for scholars from all over Europe. Charlemagne maintained order by being an efficient leader.
Charlemagne: the 6'3.5 powerful ruler was a beast in war and as a leader. The man came into his career with two main goals, and for accomplishing them, he deserves to be in the HALL OF FAME more than anyone. Although his acts were deadly, he was fearless, and he showed the people under his control and people from generation on how to get a job done. A firm believer in Christ, and a man with the church on his side, Charlemagne was The Greatest. From God he received power, and he was able to unify people and conquer territory. Charles the Great; he can get the job done.
Charlemagne was one of the best rulers of the Roman Empire. Originally a Frankish King, his main goals were to unite all of Western Europe under his power, and convert all Germanic people to Christianity. Although his methods may have not been orthodox, he was able to do so. In order to bring everyone together, anyone that disagreed with him was either killed or converted. But his use of Christianity eventually brought the Empire together. He used the teachings to bring everyone together and obey his orders. He also was very concerned with learning and made sure everyone could read and write. He was crowned Holy Roman Emperor in 800 CE because of his actions, and will be remembered as one of the greatest Emperors to this day.
Charlemagne (Charles the great) was a great and powerful ruler and leader to the Frankish Kingdom. He was a man who's 2 goals were to unite all of the western Europe under his power and to convert all Germanic people to Christianity. Charles saw himself as a soldier of Christ throughout all of his wars. The methods he used to convert people to Christianity were very brutal and awful. His kingdom all were at peace with each other because everyone who lived within the kingdom followed the same god. Charlemagne brought education to the kingdom by adding subjects like grammar, logic and mathematics, he was able to hire scholars all around Europe because he conquered their cities and home before. After Charlemagne's death his 3 grandsons came to power and divided his kingdom into 3 parts which weakened the empire and caused it to later collapse.
When Charlemagne became king, he had two goals: unite the Germanic people under his power and convert them to Christianity. He accomplished most of this through war being a “soldier of Christ”. When Charlemagne was crowned king by the pope, he was a little annoyed. The pope’s actions implied that he was crowning Charlemagne king, and not god. Charlemagne beloved that god granted him his power.
Being that the emperor’s ties to the church were strong, he used that to unite his people.charlemagne used nobles to watch over his people. This helped his people feel noble and helped the his people far away feel they were still part of his empire.
When Charlemagne was emperor, most frank people could not read or write. So Charlemagne decided that he would create a school. Charlemagne paid many European teachers to come from all around the world and teach at his private school. The school was in a church or palace and they taught grammar, logic, and mathematics.
After the emperor died however, his grandchildren divided the empire into three kingdoms and eventually led to its later collapse.
Charlemagne was a amazing powerful king who helped spread christianity around Europe, united western Europe and maintained a very well respected empire of his time. he was a big man 6 feet 3 1/2 inches blue eyes and a mustache. charlemagne set 2 goals which he later fourfold. 1 unite all of western Europe under his power and convert all Germanic people to christianity. on Christmas day the officially crowed him in the year 800. his strong ties to the church helped give his empire unity. charlemagne even made schools and leaning centers and got scholars from all over Europe to teach at his school. overall Charlemagne was a great and noble emperor and did a tremendous amount of things for western Europe.
Charlemagne, meaning Charles the Great, was a powerful king who had support from the Roman catholic church. He believed that his power came from God. Charlemagne was a large, heavy man, standing at 6 feet 3 1/2 inches tall, who wanted to unite all of Western Europe under his power. He also wanted to convert all the Germanic people to Christianity. Those goals that he set were largely met. In fact, he almost doubled the size of his kingdom and was more powerful than any ruler Western Europe had seen since the Roman Empire. He was later declared the new Holy Roman Emperor, with his power being blessed by the Church. As his empire expanded, it became harder to control all of it at once. He used counts, nobles, to watch over his kingdom. Another tactic that Charlemagne used was to hire Minstrels, singers, to wander from manor to manor performing songs that glorified him and his empire. This made people feel that no matter how far away from the palace they were, they were still a part of Charlemagne's rule. During Charlemagne's rule, a new center for learning was created in his palace at Aachen. He began to hire teachers using the money he obtained from conquering and looting foreign lands. After the death of Charlemagne, his kingdom was divided into three parts by his grandsons. This led to the collapse of the empire that he once ruled.

When he conquered places he murdered many people without caring. Charlemagne wanted to convert the many Germanic tribes to Christianity. He had help watching over his kingdom by counts or nobles. They had many jobs such as maintain an army loyal to the emperor, collect the taxes that were in place, and settle disputes. Without the counts his kingdom may not have been as strong as it was.
Charlemagne is known for his extremely effective rising to power during the Middle Ages. He was a Frankish king who was fairly similar to a previous Frankish king named Clovis. Charlemagne used Christianity as a tool to help rise to power. By conquering non-Christians and kingdoms who opposed the Church, many people believed that Charlemagne was given his power from God. His kingdom's numbers rose even higher after he was given the title "Holy Roman Emperor" by the Pope. With a large number of Christians behind him, nothing could stop Charlemagne and his rise of power.
Charlemagne was truly showed that he was Charles the Great through his actions in the kingdom. The only two goals he set for himself were both achieved, by use of cruelty and violence. The reason Charlemagne believes he succeeded due to the power God had granted him. To ensure that others have this experience with God as well, he killed over 4,500 rebellious leaders. He was so successful with his work that he became more powerful than any ruler western Europe had seen since the Roman Empire. Charlemagne was soon appointed the new Holy Roman Emperor, which led to the unity of the empire. With this power, Charles the Great had nobles preform important tasks to ensure the safety of his kingdom. Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, was an ambitious man who had 2 goals: uniting Western Europe and converting Germanic tribes to Christianity. He accomplished both of these goals primarily through war, although the conversions were often harsh and barbarous. Charles and his men fought the pagans in the north and the Muslims in the south and was significantly more brutal. However, his goals were met and Charlemagne became the most powerful ruler since the Roman Empire. He established a successful empire divided up into manors which maintained structure in the empire. Using the money he had acquired, he made his palace a center for education and paid scholars from all over Europe to teach the children. The empire was weakened after his death because it was divided but it was very successful when he was alive.

Because of Charlemagne's close ties with the church, they thought very highly of him and taught people to obey him. After he had unified Western Europe, he turned to education to improve his kingdom and converted his Aachen palace into a school. He was a great leader and helped Europe and religion thrive.
Charlemange, aka Charles the Great, was the next powerful ruler after Clovis. Clovis had prayed to the Christian God for help with the next war he planned on fighting and he won, he then converted to Christianity which started to unify the kingdom. Charlemange had two goals: to unify all of Western Europe and convert all the Germanic people to Christianity. While the methods to achieve his goals were quite brutal, they were mostly met. He had doubled the size of his kingdom and had become more powerful than any other ruler since the Roman Empire. When he was crowned the new Holy Roman Emperor, his power had been blessed by the Church. This tie to the Church helped create even more unity for his empire.

As a ruler, his intentions were to unite all of Western Europe under his power and convert all Germanic people to Christianity. He was able to accomplish both; his kingdom doubled in size and he was able to convert people but used cruel and brutal tactics to. He considered himself as a solider of Christ and was willing to fight for his belief in God. Eventually, Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne and declared him the new Holy Roman Emperor and his power was blessed by the church. However, he didn't agree with the Pope because he believed his power came from God. Moving forward, Charlemagne realized that most Frankish people were illiterate and he decided to make his palace a center of learning. He also started a school for children of royal officials and they were taught the subjects we learn today in school. Overall, he was made a wonderful everlasting mark on his empire

His methods in converting people to Christianity were cruel and brutal, even though he saw himself as a solider of Christ. His goals of wanting to conquer all of Western Europe and converting all the Germanic people to Christianity doubled, and he became the most powerful ruler in the Roman Empire at that time. On December 25th, 800, Pope Leo III declared Charlemagne the Holy Roman Emperor which he wasn't fond of because he believed only God gave him power. After this, he assigned 'counts' who maintained a loyal army to the emperor, collect taxes, and settle disputes. Also, minstrels preformed songs that glorified Charlemagne and sang to his people. Lastly, he provided learning opportunities for his people like grammar, logic, and mathematics. Sadly, after his death his sons divided his kingdom into three parts which caused its collapse.

This month’s Hall of Fame goes to Charlemagne also known as Charles The Great. He is a large man, 6 feet 3 ½ inches tall, with bright blue eyes and a dramatic mustache. His goals for his rule was to unite all western Europe under his power and to convert all Germanic people to Christianity. Charlemagne used counts to keep watch over his kingdom. Which is a great example of leadership. He did organize certain values that the counts where expected to follow including: to maintain a small army loyal to the emperor, taxes and to settle disputes. Charlemagne also decide to make Aachen a learning foundation that would teach grammar, mathematics, and logic. Charlemagne was very passionate and determined to accomplish his goals. The result of this made him meet his goals significantly, making his kingdom double in size and became the most powerful ruler that western Europe has seen since the roman empire.
Charlemagne was a fabulous leader after Clovis, some say even better. Charlemagne was a large and heavy men with a height of 6 feet 3 1/2 inches. He also had bright blue eyes and a mustache. The goals that Charlemagne wanted to do was unite all western Europe under his power; he also wanted to to convert all Germanic people to Christianity. Due to him the almost doubled the size of his kingdom and was the most powerful ruler in the history of the Roman Empire. In the year 800, pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne the new Holy Roman Emperor. He did not like this he believed that all his power came from god himself. Due to the expansion of the Empire they did not have enough time to learn to read and wright. So under Charlemagne he opened schools and payed the teachers, and he even opened his palace as a reading center. Some say every morning he would open his book from under his pillow to practice his writing. After Charlemagne died his Three grandsons divided his empire themselves.
Charles the Great, aka Charlemagne was considered a soldier for Christ because of his war accomplishments. He used brutal methods to make people convert to Christianity. He fought pagans and Muslims of Spain. He almost doubled his kingdom and was more powerful than any other ruler western Europe had seen since the time of the Roman Empire. He was crowned by the Pope declaring him the new Holy Emperor, but he wasn't happy with that. Crowning Charlemagne meant the Pope gave him power, but his power came from God. After his death, the kingdom weakened.
After a period of poor Frankish leaders, the most powerful leader since the Roman Empire came to power. Charlemagne was a very large man, being 6 feet 3 1/2 inches tall and had two goals: unite all of western Europe under his power and convert all Germanic people to Christianity. While completing these goals, Charlemagne got his name as one of the most powerful leaders, but may have had to use some brutal tactics. Once he accomplished his goals, he had almost doubled the size of his kingdom. After this, he was declared the new Holy Roman Emperor and everyone in the empire obeyed him. With help from the church, the empire was organized into manors and was unified. Finally he converted his palace at Aachen to a learning center that taught grammar, logic, ad mathematics.
Charlemagne was a great king he was 6 feet 1/2 inches with bright blue eyes and a dramatic mustache, on Christmas Day 800 Pope Leo 111 crowned him Roman Emperor. Charlemagne saw himself as a soldier of Christ and wanted to covert the Germanic people into Christianity. Most of the Frankish people couldn't read or write. Charlemagne decided to make his palace at Aachen a new center for learning. All of these great thing that Charlemagne did is why he is being added to the History hall of fame. (I got my information from the Charlemagne's Rise to Power paper)
Charlamagne also known as "Charles the Great" had two main goals. They were to:
1. Unite all of Western Europe under his power.
2. Convert all Germanic tribes to Christianity.
The main way that Charlemagne used to achieve his goals was through war. He did not mind mass killings, brutality, and blood. All he cared about was his goals, and achieving them. In 800, he was crowned by the Pope, which irritated Charlemagne, because he believed that God was the one who gave him the power to rule. However, due to his alliance with the church, people who attended church were told to follow whatever Charlemagne orders them to. During his reign was when the Frankish people started to become educated. His death was when the empire started to weaken.
Charlemagne came from a Frankish group called the Clovis. Although they gained support from the Catholic Church, The Pope, and the Christian Romans, the Clovis were still known to be bad rulers. Then came Charlemagne or Charles The Great who came to power in the Frankish Kingdom. With two goals in mind to unite Western Europe and convert Germanic people to Christianity. He fought mostly against pagan people in an effort to convert them. Charlemagne had succeeded in achieving his goals and in the year 800 he was declared as the Holy emperor of Europe. He had different people in his empire help enforce and glorify his power. He had schools, and singers that glorified Charlemagne as a holy figure.
Charles the Great, known as Charlemagne, was the ruler of the Frankish Kingdom. He was a large, heavy man, 6 feet 3 1/2 inches tall, with bright blue eyes. His main goal was to unite all of Western Europe, and to convert all Germanic people to Christians; however, the process of converting people to Christianity was often brutal. By the end, he almost doubled the size of his kingdom and was more powerful than any ruler western Europe had. On the year 800, Charlemagne received a crown becoming a new Holy Roman Emperor. After Charlemagne's death, the kingdom was separated into 3 parts by his grandsons and resulted to weaken the empire's unity.
Charlemagne, who was also known as Charles the Great was a tall, heavy man with many claims of having a "dramatic mustache". He was considered the 1st strong Frankish ruler after Clovis. His main goals were to unite Western Europe under himself and to convert all the people there to Christianity. He did that mostly through war and was reported to be very brutal. For example, in one day he ordered 4500 beheadings of people.
On Christmas in the year 800, the Pope crowned Charlemagne and he became the 1st holy Roman Emperor. His empire became a force to be reckoned with and he was the most powerful ruler of Western Europe ever since the Roman Empire.
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, was one of the most powerful and influential rulers of the Frankish kingdom. In his rule, Charlemagne had two main goals for the rule of his kingdom: to unite all of Western Europe under his power and to convert all the Germanic people to Christianity. Charlemagne who saw himself as a soldier of Christ, used usually cruel and brutal methods to convert people to Christianity. Although, his methods of conquering people were quite inhumane,as a result Charlemagne ended up meeting his goals and almost doubled the size of his kingdom. Charlemagne was was more powerful than any ruler the western Empire had seen since the time of the Roman Empire. Charlemagne was crowned and declared the new Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope and his strong ties with the church helped to unify the empire. During this time, Charlemagne saw that most of the Frankish people couldn’t read or write so he began a school to train the children of royal officials to work in th hutch or palace. When Charlemagne died his three grandsons diodes the kingdom and eventually the unified empire weakened, which contributed to its later collapse.
Charlemagne was a great and powerful king who gained control of the Frankish kingdom. Charlemagne was a very large man standing at about 6ft 3 1/2in has bright blue eyes and a outstanding mustache. As he would go on as king he would set out two main goals for himself and his people. The first was that he wanted to bring all of Western Europe under his rule. Secondly he wanted to make all Germanic people change there religion to Christianity. Unfortunately in order for him to do that his army often had to use force conquered people to change to Christianity were often cruel and brutal. Using this brutality Charlemagne fought against the Saxons. The kings secretary wrote that in 782 after the saxons revolt 4,500 of there leaders were rounded up and by Charlemagne’s command they beheaded them in on day. By the end of this Charlemagne almost doubled the size of his kingdom and was the most powerful ruler in Western Europe since the time of the Roman Empire. During Christmas in the year 800 Charlemagne was declared the new Holy Roman Emperor which the power was blessed by the church. He ended up a little upset, because he believed that his power came from god not from the Pope. Since Charlemagne was so close with the church it helped give his empire unity. When people would go to church they would learn to obey Charlemagne. While he was ruling he used counts to watch over his kingdom. These counts had three jobs to keep a small army that’s loyal to the emperor, collect taxes, and to settle disputes. Later on Charlemagne wanted to make his palace a new center for learning so they began a school. The teachers would teach grammer, logic, and math. Then unfortunately charlemagne died and his three grandsons decided to divide the kingdom into three parts. This then started killing the empires unity and caused its later collapse.
Charles the Great, also known as Charlemagne became the next powerful ruler that got control of the Frankish kingdom. Charlemagne was a large heavy man standing at about a six feet three and a half inches, he also had blue eyes and mustache/beard. Charles the great inquired two goals that he was striving to achieve: he wanted to convert all of the Germanic civilians to Christianity; he wanted all the Western Europe under his power. Charlemagne eventually achieved his goal through war, however being brutal and cruel in order to achieve his goals. Charles saw himself as solider of Christ, as he fought against Pagans,Muslims, and the Saxons. He meets his self placed standards by doubling the size of his kingdom. Later on in his life he was crowned by the Pope Leo lll, which he was annoyed with since he believed his power came from god. Although the role that the Pope had given him helped keep the empire in unity. As Charles gets older he realizes that the Frankish people could not read. So he uses the money that he got from all the looting he had done to foreign lands and invited scholars to come teach at his school/church/palace that he built. After Charlemagne died his sons split the kingdom, in which eventually causes its collapse.
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, left am impact in Western Europe. He was king of the Frankish people and was fully devoted to Christianity. Charlemagne saw himself as a soldier of God, conquering and winning war after war. His two goals consisted of uniting all of Western Europe under his control, and to have all Germanic people converted to Christianity. Charles doubled the size of this kingdom and was even more powerful than any ruler in western Europe. His determination onto converting people into Christianity was seen as cruel and brutal. He and his army fought anyone that was against Christianity. Education was very important to Charlemagne as well. Children were taught grammar, logic, and mathematics, as well as training to work in the church and palace.
Charlemagne had a rise to power that was able to change his kingdom greatly. The grandson of Charles Martel, Charlemagne, pursued two main goals: to unite Western Europe under him, and convert all of his people to Christianity. The way he found most effective was through war. He also used cruel ways to force the conquered to convert, but in the process was able to double the size of the kingdom. Charlemagne was crowned by the pope as an act of gratitude, although Charlemagne believed his power came from god and not the pope. This act of crowning did however unite the government and the church along with unifying the empire. Charlemagne used counts and minstrels to make sure his kingdom was properly fun and all felt included. He created a learning center and brought academics with the money he obtained from conquering. After his death the kingdom would be split and later fall. Through his accomplishments it is shown that Charlemagne, Charles the Great, was a powerful and great leader to be inaugurated into the World History Hall of Fame.
Charlemagne, otherwise known as Charles the Great was quite the compelling person during his rule of the Frankish kingdom. He was a big man being 6 ft 3 1/2 inches tall, blue eyes, and a mustache. During his rule he had two goals he wanted to accomplish. He wanted to unite all of Western Europe under his rule and he wanted to convert all the Germanic people to Christianity. He was the 1st ruler who wanted everybody to be converted into the Christian religion. In order for him to accomplish these goals he had to take brutal measures. He fought the Non-Christians and the Muslims of Spain. He even took 4,500 of rebellious leaders and by his instructions were all beheaded in one day. He was already so close to his goals and was already know as the most powerful ruler in Roman history. On Christmas Day, Pope Leo III now declared Charlemagne as the new Holy Roman Emperor which means he has ties with the church. The church gave the empire unity and Charlemagne used it to teach people to obey him. Towards the end of his rule he also made his palace, Aachen to each the Frankish people how to read and write. Because of this it made the people want to obey him and the empire to expand. Ultimately he was a great ruler and was able to accomplish a lot more then just his goals.
Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, is one of the most successful kings to have ruled an empire in all of history. After the failures of multiple kings in the Frank monarch, a large, heavy man who was 6 ft 3 1/2 in tall by the name of Charlemagne would take the throne and help improve the Franks. His goals were to unite all of Western Europe and to convert all of his people to Christianity. While his ways of doing them were questionable, he did succeed in his goals and doubled his kingdom which made him the most powerful ruler in western Europe. It also brought him more power when, in a very surprising part in ancient history, Pope Leo lll declared germanic Charlemagne the "new Holy Roman Emperor". Just like with the Franks, he would go on to help the empire succeed and was able to have the people obey Charlemagne with the help of his nobles and minstrels. His most noteworthy accomplishment at the time was starting schools to train children grammar, logic, mathematics, and other subjects that would help the Frankish people, especially since most of them could not read or write. He would unfortunately die a few years later, but his affect on western Europe has shown to last to this day which makes him more than qualified to be on the Hall of Fame.
As emperor, Charlemagne proved to be a talented diplomat and able administrator of the vast area he controlled. He promoted education and encouraged the Carolingian Renaissance, a period of renewed emphasis on scholarship and culture. He instituted economic and religious reforms, and was a driving force behind the Carolingian miniscule, a standardized form of writing that later became a basis for modern European printed alphabets.
Charlemagne, a great Frankish king, was undoubtedly the greatest king of the Franks. Following the rule of Clovis, Charlemagne was the first great king after a long succession of inadequate kings. Much like Clovis, Charlemagne wanted to unify his kingdom under Christianity. Under Christianity, Charlemagne considered himself to be a soldier of God. Charlemagne was also responsible for being an educational leader and re-instilling educational programs in Europe.
Charles the Great, better known as Charlemagne was a powerful ruler of the Frankish kingdom. He was a large man, nearly six foot four, with bright blue eyes, and what could be described as a dramatic mustache. He had two main goals: to unite all of Western Europe and to convert all Germanic people to Christianity. In 782, under Charlemagne's command, 4,500 rebellious leaders were all beheaded in one day and in the end, all of his goals were met. He was then crowned Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Leo III in the year 800. He had three counts to maintain an army and created a school to train the children of royal officials to work in the church. Charlemagne's legacy lived on as his three sons divided the empire into three parts. However this ended up weakening the empire unity and contributed to it's collapse.

In fact his empire held strong until his death when his sons took over and turned the empire upside down. I am so happy and honored to now be in the Hall of Fame and it is a true privilege. I think I have worked hard and earned this by working diligently to unite all of Western Europe under my power and converting all Germanic people to Christianity. I feel that the last ruler , Clovis wasn’t the best leader and it is my true duty to make it better . This is what I look like : I have bright blue eyes , a gigantic mustache, and I am a large man . I am actually 6’3 . In fact , my name means “Charles the Great” which many people are interested by . On Christmas Day , the Pope Leo III , placed a crown on my head and I became the new “Holy Roman Emperor”. At that moment , I was so excited to be that . The power that I had was blessed by the holy Church. I was very annoyed when The Pope had to give me the power because he was a little jealous lol . People in church were taught to obey and respect me . Now , I am here today to be in the Hall of Fame . Thank you and have a great day .
I am honored for being inducted into the Hall of Fame for all my accomplishments. I know i'm pretty great for building a huge empire for my Frankish people. Also for extending Christianity into Northern Europe and converting millions into the religion. I want to thank my family for the support they have given me throughout it all. I know my son's destroyed my empire, but it was pretty amazing while it lasted. I did a really good job of putting this empire into a good position for my kids to ruin it. If i knew of this before and i would have put someone else into power. Furthermore, I am very thankful for the opportunity to be put in the Hall of Fame with all these other greats.

Success come only to those that work for it. I personally do not feel that i deserve this honor due to the fact that i was only doing what i thought God wanted of me. They even had to force me into power as the Holy Roman Emperor. But with the power that the pope and God granted me, I continued to spread Christianity. I even went as far as to convert ALL of the Germanic people to Christianity. Thank you again for such a wonderful honor.
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, was a great medieval king of the Franks. He had a dream of wanting to unite all of Western Europe under his power, and to convert all his subjects to Christianity. He was often brutal and cruel in his efforts to convert people to Christianity, but he was ruthless because he saw himself as a soldier of Christ. He waged a 30 year war on the Saxtons, who were pagan worshipers, but eventually forced to convert after defeat. He also stopped the spread of Islam in Western Europe, which defined what would be the dominant religion in Europe.
