I have personally learned the most about Islam, because I did not know much about it in the first place. I learned the Muhammad is a prophet, and Allah is G-d. I always thought they were the same thing. I also learned that Islam originated in Saudi Arabia, I always thought it was from Israel because Jerusalem is the holy city for Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.
Good Work :)
The religion that I have learned the most about is Christianity. I previously did not know the story of Jesus. Now I know that he was persecuted and killed. After his death, however, he was believed to have risen from the dead and disappeared from his coffin and speak with followers of the religion he preached. He was then considered to be the son of God by all of his followers.
I have gained the most knowledge from Islam. I learned about the pilgrimage they take to the city of Mecca in their lifetime and how they have to pray 5 times a day facing the city. I already knew that Muhammad had founded it, but I did not know that there was never any pictures or sculptures of him. Islam also has many customs parallel to those of the Christian Bible and Jewish Torah through the Quran. Islam and its followers develop a rich tradition that is interesting to get to know.
I also thought it was really interesting that they couldn't draw, paint or sculpt people.
The Religon that I have gained the most knowledge from is probably Hinduism. Hindusim was started in India, and it is the oldest religion in the world. It started in 500 Bc. They believed in Recarnation. They believed in Dharma and Karma. They were Polytheistic. They had no specific leader
A big part of Hinduism is the Caste System--(groups assigned by birth not personality). The Hindu conception of the social order is that people are different, and different people will fit well into different aspects of society. For example, social classes are based off of jobs and ethnicity. Hindus also originated with the Aryans. Thier ultimate goal is moksha is union with Brahman
The religion that I have gained the most knowledge about is Islam. I have learned a lot of new information about the origin of it and how it was in the early years. Islam along with Christianity branched off from Judaism to form two of the most popular religions today. The God Muslims worship is named Allah, and the founder of Islam was named Muhammad. When it was starting out, it was an empire as well that gained control of a lot of land. Also, the Umayyad family was what caused the different branches of Islam to form.
I did Islam too but did not talk about the Umayyad family. I wrote a lot of the same things.
Christianity is the religion that I learned the most about. I learned how it was formed, and their beliefs. For example, I didn't know that Christianity was based off of Judaism. I also learned about Jesus, his teachings, and how they believed he was the Messiah.
I have learned the most about Islam. Before we started this unit I did not know much about it but now I know that it was founded in 622 AD by Muhammad in Saudi Arabia, there are separate branches called Sunni and Shit'e, they believe in many prophets, and are monotheistic. They also believe in life after death, judgement day, and have dietary rules and fasts.
Also, in the Islamic religion, they pray 5 times a day facing the holy city of Mecca.
I did Islam too but did not talk about Sunni and Shit'e. Good job
I have gained the most new knowledge about Buddhism. Buddhism was started in India, by an Indian prince that rejected Hinduism strict caste system. Buddhism believes in reincarnation and moksha. Siddartha Gautama creates Buddhism in 500 BCE.
Buddhism was spread through several trade routes, including the Silk Trade route. A huge part of Buddhism is the 4 noble truths and the 8 Fold Path. Also, at around 300 AD, Buddha's teachings were translated into Chinese. Many people often confuse the origin of buddhism to be china.
I also learned a lot about Buddhism, I didnt know that the trade routs had such a big impact on cultural diffusion. I didnt even know that kharma came from their religion. You could have also talked about how it is so similar to Hinduism but it was founded by Bhudda. Yet they still have many differences.
I gained the most knowledge on Buddhism out of all the religions... Buddhism was founded by Siddarth Guatama Buddha, It’s a polytheistic religion. It’s origin is India and they believe in karma, dharma and reincarnation. Moksha is also correlated with Buddhism; which is the 8 fold path, as well as the 4 noble truths. The ultimate goal of a Buddhist is Nirvana.
I really loved this reply because I actually didn't know much about Buddhism. Thanks for the new knowledge.
From the short time I've been here, the religion that I have gained the most new knowledge from is Islam. I've always know about the religion, but after reading about it in class, I realized I didn't know anything about it. I learned about the founder, Mohammad and how he struggled growing up. I learned about the five duties the Muslims had to perform. I learned about how other religions were accepted by Islam because the shared some of the same beliefs and how Muslim society was divided. I also learned of all the great achievements that muslims made in math, science, philosophy and art.
The religion I've gained the most knowledge about Judaism. Judaism started in Palestine in 2000 BC by Abraham. They viewed Jesus as a teacher, not a messiah. Judaism is the oldest religion out of Christianity, and Islam.
There are no conversion efforts in Judaism. They follow one God (Yahweh), they believe in a judgement day, life after death and deity laws. Some of the major branches of Judaism us Orthodox, conservative, and reform.
Traditional Judaism maintains that God established a covenant with the Jewish people at Mount Sinai, and revealed his laws and 613 commandments to them in the form of the Torah
GREAT, FANTASTIC JOB T. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! IM PROUD OF YOU
Wow! I didnt know who Yahweh was until now.
Judaism was the first Monotheistic religion.
I have gained the most knowledge on is Islam. Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia in 622 AD. There are two a major branches and they believe Jesus is just one of many prophets. There are also five duties they must perform and every Friday they meet as a community for prayer and must make the pilgrimage to Mecca once in their lifetime.
Cam you did an excellent job!
Cam, this is such a well-thought, amazing response. You really helped me learn some new things about Islam. Bravo!
The religion I learned the most about is Confucianism. I never learned about it, so the entire thing as a whole was new to me, specifically filial piety.
I learned the most about Judaism. I learned that it was the first monotheistic religion and was the foundation for both Islam and Christianity. I've also learned about how Judaism saw Jesus as a teacher rather than the messiah that would lead them back to Israel.
Good Job :)
The religion I’ve gained from the most is most likely Islam. At first I knew that islam was obviously a religion but I never knew what Islam actually was until now. I’ve learned that Islam was founded in Saudia Arabia by Muhammad. Also the major branches dealing with Islam were the Sunni which were people who did not outwardly resist Umayyad rule. And also the other group is the Shit’e. Another great thing I learned was that Islam’s view on Jesus was one of many prophets. They also believed in one god (monotheistic) and they called that god by the name of Allah. They believed in life after death which explains itself. So all in all I understand the religion of Islam all that is to COACH COFFEY!!!!!!
The religion I've learned about the most is Islam. I didn't know that Muslims have to do five duties to show that they accept the will of God. I also didn't know they only eat one meal a day after sunset during sunset. This religion came after Judaism and Christianity. It was created by Muhammad and they believe Jesus was one of many prophets.
The religion I have learned most about is Islam. I learned that its founder was named Muhammad and began in the Arabian peninsula. Also, many people feared him because they thought he would make everyone not worship the traditional Arabian gods. I learned that there are two different branches of Islam called the Sunni and Shi'e. The Shi'e believe that the caliphs need to be relatives of Muhammad and the Sunni did not outwardly resist the Umayyad rule.
I learned that Jews don't think Jesus is the son of God. I also learned in Judaism you have to fast and can't eat meat also it was the base for Islam and Christianity.
I learned the most about Christianity and it’s origin. It really fascinated me how it tied in with both Roman history and Jewish history. I also learned more about the details of the monotheistic tree and it’s branches.
well i learned that Christainity doesn't have dietary laws only on Judaism and Islam and also i didn't know they all have similarities and also differences the most creative thing i also learned that in Hinduism karma is Actually a real thing and also in Islam that people have to perform five duties to show that they serve God how mind blowing
I have learned and connected to the Islam religion the most, what interests me the most is that they pray up to 5 times a day and followers on Islam read and believe in the Islamic book the Quran, this is the centralized book for the whole religion. Islam is a monotheistic religion and they believe in Muhammad. The religion is surrounded by peace witch interests me.
The religion I've learned about the most is Judaism. At first I didn't know that it was the foundation for Islam and Christianity. I also learned that Jesus was more so viewed as a teacher and not the messiah. Judaism was also founded by Abraham in Palestine around 2000 BC.
The religion that I have gained the most knowledge on is Confucianism. Unlike every other world religion we have learning, I had never even heard of the word "Confucianism". However, I now know much more about the religion, specifically that it is based on the idea of family relations, like the respect a child must give to his father, and the idea of virtue respect, or filial piety.
The religion I have learned the most about is Judaism. I didn’t know it was the first monothestic religon.I didn’t know that the migration of jews and cultural diffusion caused the branching off of islam and christinanity. I also didn’t know that they viewed jesus only as a teacher.
The religion I have learned the most about is Christianity and its origin. I did not previously know that Jesus began preaching when he was 30 years old and was crucified for it. I also did not know that the Bible was not written by Jesus and that Christianity branches off of Judaism.
Personally, I learned the most about Judaism. I learned that both religions, Christianity and Islam branched off from Judaism. I have also learned that Judaism is monotheistic; they worship one god. I have also learned some of the major branches including Orthodox and Conservative. Lastly, I learned that Christianity and Judaism share some traits including life after death and Judgement Day.
The religion I learned a lot of new stuff about is islam. Islam has similarities to Judaism and Christianity but is different from them too. I learned that the major branches are the Sunni and the shit'e. I knew of these two groups but didn't know they were islamic. I also didn't know that they recognized Jesus as a prophet
The religion I have learned the most about is the Muslims. I learned that the Muslims had 4 different groups. I also learned that the Muslims had a book called the Qur'an which was the standard for all Arabic literature and poetry. The Muslims also practiced calligraphy.
I have learned the most about Islam and the divisions of it. It was divided into the Sunni and Shi'a groups after the Umayyad rule began. The Shi'a were those who felt that the caliphs needed to be related to Muhammad. The Sunni did not resist the Umayyad rule.
I have gained the most knowledge from the religion of Islam, I never knew about how Islam tried to establish an empire as well as a religion. Also that algebra was created through the Islamic empire which I had thought the Gupta Empire had created. I was also unsure of their god whether it was Muhammad who was actually the prophet instead of being Islam's god. Their god was actually Allah.
I learned the most about Islam. I found it fascinating that the Muslims were so highly developed in the past. They had medicine, algebra, new discoveries of science, etc. They even influenced Europe. It’s also interesting that the Sunni and Shiite arugement has been going on for such a long time.
Throughout the lesson, I have gained most new knowledge about Islam. Starting from the 5 duties, I have learned that Islam has a dietary law that starts every holy month of Ramadan, performing hajj, etc. They also believed that Allah was the only god.
I have learned the most new knowledge of Confucianism. Before this Class I hadn’t known that it was a religion. I learned about their centerdneness around respect in the relationships with people and how filial piety began to play a big role in the culture. It was something new and interesting.
I learned the most about Islam. I learned about things like the Hajj and the Five Pillars. I also was not aware of all 4 divisions of Islam.
i learned the most about islam because that what the packet we read focused on and i learned about the 5 pillars and who and what they believe in.
The religion I have learned the most about was Islam. I was not aware that Muhammad was simply a major prophet and not a god himself. I also found out about the different sections, sunni and shi'a, and what they both believe. I also didn't know that the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim gods were the same.
I leaned the most about Islam. I didn't know what the five pillars were and didn't know that there were multiple divisions of Islam . I also did't know who discovered it and how it spread.
In this lesson, I learned the most about the Islamic culture. In studying this, I discovered that the Muslims infused their culture into the records of other cultures by translating them in to Arabic. I feel that shows that they where very intellectual and wise to keep record like this.
I learned the most about Judaism, especially about the Jewish Diaspora and the way Judaism spread throughout the world. Judaism is a oldest monotheistic religion and two of the major world religions branched out of it. They are: Christianity and Islam. The torah is the religious book for Judaism. Moses came up with the Holy Torah. Judaism originated in the Middle East, about 3500 years ago.
I learned the most about the Jewish culture. I found it really cool that they where the base foundation of Christianity and Islam.
I personally learned the most about Islam. I didn't know that the Muslims had so many different systems to follow such as the 5 Pillars. I also learned that they saw Jesus as a prophet. And that they practiced calligraphy.
I believe i have learned more and new facts about the religion Islam because I've found out things about Islam that i didn't know about or even heard of. For example like the the haji which is a trip to mecca where a person of Muslim religion must have at least once in there life. Also about the five pillars which is the five teachings that Islam people need to follow to be Muslim.
The religion I have learned the most about is Islam. I didn't know they had to pray five times a day and that their leaders could get married. I've also learned that their society was divided, that non muslims had to pay additional taxes and that they couldn't draw pictures of people because only Allah could create life.
The religion i learned the most about was Islam. It was founded by Muhammad and they only believe in on god Allah. They have 5 duties and one of the is to pray 5 times a day.
Islam for me was one of the most interesting religion I have learned. Learning about how they are monotheistic and believe in one God was interesting in how similar i is to Christianity. The 5 duties are similar to the 10 commandments, the Quran is similar to the Christian bible. I was amazed to see how similar Christianity and Islam are.
The religion I gained more knowledge about was Hinduism. Hinduism taught me a lot about rebirth, caste system, and karma.
The religion I learned most about is Islam, especially where it branched from and how people endorsed it. Islam branched from Judaism by Muhammad. At first many people in Mecca opposed Islam because they feared Meccans would abandon traditional Arab gods. Muhammad was forced out of Mecca because of the fear people had for Islam. He had to start a new beginning to Islam in Yathrib.
I have learned the most about the religion Islam in the past few days. I learned that Muhammad had a difficult early life and was a orphan . At the age of 40, he found the religion. One night angel Gabriel told him to spread the word of god to his people .Another thing I learned was how Muslims have to obey the five duties. They have to do these duties to show that they are accepting the will of god. Finally, that Muslims believe in Allah and have the Qur'an as their holy book.
I gained the most knowledge from Islam. I learned about the 5 pillars, how they pray 5 times a day, how they specialize in math, etc.
I have gained most knowledge from Islam. I heard the name of the religion but I never knew the history of Islam. Mahammand talked with angel and he started Islam. That was not easy. He had to leave Mecca because people violently opposed Muhammad’s view. However, at the last Islam spread many places.
Christianity is the religion that i have learned the most about. I didn't know that Judaism was the bases for Christianity. Also I didn't know that Jesus was 30 years old when he was eventually crucified.
Charlemagne was a Frankish ruler who expanded his empire
and was known to be the first good leader the people ever had. Charlemagne had stated that he got his power from God and not the pope. Charlemagne will always be known for his impact on Christianity and how he fought in wars.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
