I have personally learned the most about Islam, because I did not know much about it in the first place. I learned the Muhammad is a prophet, and Allah is G-d. I always thought they were the same thing. I also learned that Islam originated in Saudi Arabia, I always thought it was from Israel because Jerusalem is the holy city for Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.

The religion that I have learned the most about is Christianity. I previously did not know the story of Jesus. Now I know that he was persecuted and killed. After his death, however, he was believed to have risen from the dead and disappeared from his coffin and speak with followers of the religion he preached. He was then considered to be the son of God by all of his followers.

I have gained the most knowledge from Islam. I learned about the pilgrimage they take to the city of Mecca in their lifetime and how they have to pray 5 times a day facing the city. I already knew that Muhammad had founded it, but I did not know that there was never any pictures or sculptures of him. Islam also has many customs parallel to those of the Christian Bible and Jewish Torah through the Quran. Islam and its followers develop a rich tradition that is interesting to get to know.

A big part of Hinduism is the Caste System--(groups assigned by birth not personality). The Hindu conception of the social order is that people are different, and different people will fit well into different aspects of society. For example, social classes are based off of jobs and ethnicity. Hindus also originated with the Aryans. Thier ultimate goal is moksha is union with Brahman

The religion that I have gained the most knowledge about is Islam. I have learned a lot of new information about the origin of it and how it was in the early years. Islam along with Christianity branched off from Judaism to form two of the most popular religions today. The God Muslims worship is named Allah, and the founder of Islam was named Muhammad. When it was starting out, it was an empire as well that gained control of a lot of land. Also, the Umayyad family was what caused the different branches of Islam to form.

I have learned the most about Islam. Before we started this unit I did not know much about it but now I know that it was founded in 622 AD by Muhammad in Saudi Arabia, there are separate branches called Sunni and Shit'e, they believe in many prophets, and are monotheistic. They also believe in life after death, judgement day, and have dietary rules and fasts.

Buddhism was spread through several trade routes, including the Silk Trade route. A huge part of Buddhism is the 4 noble truths and the 8 Fold Path. Also, at around 300 AD, Buddha's teachings were translated into Chinese. Many people often confuse the origin of buddhism to be china.

I also learned a lot about Buddhism, I didnt know that the trade routs had such a big impact on cultural diffusion. I didnt even know that kharma came from their religion. You could have also talked about how it is so similar to Hinduism but it was founded by Bhudda. Yet they still have many differences.

I gained the most knowledge on Buddhism out of all the religions... Buddhism was founded by Siddarth Guatama Buddha, It’s a polytheistic religion. It’s origin is India and they believe in karma, dharma and reincarnation. Moksha is also correlated with Buddhism; which is the 8 fold path, as well as the 4 noble truths. The ultimate goal of a Buddhist is Nirvana.

From the short time I've been here, the religion that I have gained the most new knowledge from is Islam. I've always know about the religion, but after reading about it in class, I realized I didn't know anything about it. I learned about the founder, Mohammad and how he struggled growing up. I learned about the five duties the Muslims had to perform. I learned about how other religions were accepted by Islam because the shared some of the same beliefs and how Muslim society was divided. I also learned of all the great achievements that muslims made in math, science, philosophy and art.

I’ve learned that Islam was founded in Saudia Arabia by Muhammad. Also the major branches dealing with Islam were the Sunni which were people who did not outwardly resist Umayyad rule. And also the other group is the Shit’e. Another great thing I learned was that Islam’s view on Jesus was one of many prophets. They also believed in one god (monotheistic) and they called that god by the name of Allah. They believed in life after death which explains itself. So all in all I understand the religion of Islam all that is to COACH COFFEY!!!!!!
